"Where Did the Good times Go" introduced by Patty Andrews (of the Andrews Sisters) in the 1974 Sherman and Sherman Broadway Musical "Over Here!" I don't know why I was looking at the words...I've known this song for thirty years. The pianist (Patty Becker) ws sightreading it forthe first time. Well...enjoy.

Bryan Shelton (age 93) and grand-nephew David Shelton of Cisne, Illinois. ....... This is a recording made in 2001 of my great-uncle Bryan Shelton and myself. Bryan, a life-long resident of the Cisne area, was 92 years old at the time, but he still loved to sing... a lot. I had just relocated from Denver, CO to Cisne. Bryan, who I had only met a couple of times, heard that he had a relative liv...

Here Comes the Navy - The Andrews Sisters 1942
This is what a girl/boy band should sound like - proper Vaudeville trained singers and not the tone deaf, talentless noise polluters we have nowadays. Some of today's girl/boy band sound like a bunch of laryngitic crows
Huge R&B hit for Nat "King" Cole😊
Wow 80 years ago, we've all had a monkey on our backs at some stage of our lives.
They really were spectacular them 3 amongst stars like Vera Lynn sung us all the way through the war

Mafia 2 and fallout. Thank you for showing me these ladys
Patty and Maxene didn’t get along patty was the youngest the lead singer but I think she was jealous of Maxine’s looks.
So beautiful!!!
1950 vibes cool as fuck
Mafia 2, fallout 4 and fallout 76... all have this song
Thank you to Fallout 76 for introducing me to this GEM
Any digital media is suspect, wanna have the right experience? get of the lie-net and go to the source!
You know. Video quality from back then was not as bad as this. They sabotaged the video quality for rights purposes! Fucking stealing bastards..
A favorite by the duo!

I sure needed this for a momentary laugh .. Ok, the moment is over, now pass the Pills!
Appalachia Radio hit different fr
Love the harmonies.
First I've never seen this group until two days ago and I think they're so talented! I've been watching all their videos here. Although I'm sure I've heard them before in movies of the WWII era and such. The girl on the left (LaVerne?) seems a very different demeanor than the other two. She also apparently passed away long before the others, back in 1967 before I was even born. Very interesting!
Patty, Maxine, and Lavene. I never could remember which was which.
My dad always used to tell me that I needed to straighten up and fly right. Now I know where he got that from.
The one to the right look 22, the one in the middle look 27, the one to the left look about 45-50
I have loved the Andrew Sisters all my life and it is lovely to hear Patty and Maxine in this interview which makes them feel even closer. When hearing their voices and stories and some emotional times too I feel so close to them!
Mafia 2
This is a Nat King Cole song by the way
We saving Leo with this one!!!

Roy Rogers will always be my hero.
Great group. I’m glad they had a resurgence after Bette Midler.
german here, and a big fan of the old big-band-swing-stuff - but what almost always is such a big surprise for me as a german is, that most us americans don´t think that this an political song... I mean, how much more explicit you think a song should be, to be understood? And I know, that in the times of it´s origins, this song was well too good understood and therefore even loved more. Why do you think, that in the late 30´s early 40´s most black - pardon me - i mean african american musicians, dont dared to sing this song in great public? 😘
I'd love to tell you what I think about Getmany, but my American tech gods won't let me. Srraighten up and fly right, comrade. N A Z I
My Mother’s favorite singers. She was worked in an aircraft factory during WW 2.
